As far as Mark, Tom and yours truly are concerned, it’s a long story. But I’ll try and keep it short. We first met when we all worked at the celebrated creative agency, The Chase. And when Mark and Tom were approached, by a top Scottish agency, to set up a Manchester agency, they invited me to join them. Following my time at Graphic Partners, I spent the next five years at Creative Lynx (now Havas Lynx) as a Senior Designer. By which time I had the experience and confidence to set up my own agency: Transmission.
It seems like only yesterday, but it’s been eleven hectic and amazing years. I’ve worked with clients in the property, healthcare, not-for-profit, education and cultural sectors. As well as branding a host of SMEs. I’ve been fortunate to have had my work recognised by Design Week, The New York Festivals, D&AD, The Roses, Cream and Epica. I’ve also put something back. Working in design education as an Associate Lecturer, for more than a decade at Staffordshire Uni.
When Mark, Tom and I met for our occasional sampling of the brewer’s finest art, the subject of a merger came up. The stars seemed to be aligned and we decided that if we were to get together again, it was now or never. So, we have done. Without wanting to polish their blue suede shoes, Glorious have a great team of creative and talented designers and work for some really interesting companies. Bringing the two agencies together, means that I can develop the services I provide to my growing list of clients, while introducing myself to the impressive roster of existing and new Glorious clients. It’s not the end of the story, it’s a new beginning.
